Pursue new opportunities in the Nordic

Strukton Rail has increased its share in the Norwegian company JPL Rail from 30 to 70%. Jacob Zeeman (CEO/Strukton Rail) and Jon Jessesen (CEO/JPL Rail) signed an agreement to that end at the beginning of April 2020. Strukton Rail has been working together with JPL in the past years.

Strukton Rail is a major service provider in the Swedish rail infrastructure market and also counts Denmark as one of its home countries. Strukton plans to build further on existing activities and contracts and pursue new opportunities in the Nordic. The company foresees continuous growth in the Norwegian market. 

Jacob Zeeman:

Strengthening our cooperation with JPL enables us to establish a local foothold in Norway and gives us the opportunity to further deploy our machines and smart maintenance experience. 


Jon Jessesen adds:

Strukton Rail brings 100 years of experience and innovation in the field of asset management and maintenance execution. Cooperating with Strukton enables us to broaden our activities.

The Strukton Rail JPL Rail partnership provides opportunities for cross selling of Strukton Rail products and services. In particular:

  • Rail maintenance machines from Sweden, Netherlands and Italy (CLF)
  • Safety devices
  • Asset management technologies like IceGuard, Strukton Netwok Scan and POSS monitoring

About JPL Rail

JPL Rail is a resource provider, specializing in railway safety supervisor services (mainly safety guard, electric safety guard and train drivers). The company has grown from 9 to 15 employees in 2019 and turnover of NOK 45 million JPL Rail is well established in railway safety supervisor service segment and has a number of frame contracts (until 2021 with options until 2023), which provides a stable basis to build on.
