Rail maintenance
Marc Maathuis, Maintenance Director at Strukton Rail Nederland and Director at Strukton Systems, will reinforce Strukton Rail’s maintenance position on an international scale. The current price and risk levels in the Dutch rail maintenance market prompt us to become increasingly active in rail maintenance markets in other countries. We are focusing on countries in which there is a close match between the customer needs and our smart maintenance concept, aiming at improved safety, availability and reliability of the entire rail system. We will continue to develop innovations in our home countries, with the Netherlands as an important basis.

Chairman of Strukton Rail Nederland bv
To enable Jacob and Marc to grow our international business, Tjark de Vries has been appointed chairman of Strukton Rail Nederland bv’s management board. Tjark joined our company in October 2013 as Projects director at Strukton Rail Nederland. He professionalised our projects company in the Netherlands, focusing on safety, quality and the customer. Tjark and Marc will further strengthen our position in the Netherlands, which will remain our basis. The aim: a safe and available rail system in the Netherlands. We will work towards this aim together with our customers, the government and other partners. This will be done with careful attention to the wellbeing of our people and increasing cooperation between the business units.
