For the RET, Strukton Rail is replacing the rails and switches on the metro line from Slotlaan station up to De Terp station in Capelle aan den IJssel.
After years of intensive use, the metro lines need replacing. By renewing them, we ensure that the metro will continue to be a safe, fast and comfortable connection in the future.
From Saturday 1 September 2018 to Saturday 6 October 2018, Strukton Rail will be working on the metro rails. The work will continue 24/7. We will replace the rails one by one, so that the metro can continue to operate during this period on one rail. Inconvenience to passengers will thus be limited. On Saturday 6 October 2018, both rails will be back in service.
