Innovate? Integrate? Yes we can. En yes we do! As one of ProRail’s innovation partners we are going to boost the implementation of ERTMS in the Netherlands. With our knowledge and experience in the field of ERTMS, safety and system integration, in combination with our innovative, creative and technical mind, we are going to work towards Dutch railway network equipped with ERMTS!
In July 2020, ProRail introduced the ASAP ERTMS programme, with the aim to speed up the implementation of the European Rail Traffic Management Systems ERTMS. Companies were asked to come up with smart ideas to realise that aim. The programme is divided into several lots. With an enthusiastic team of various specialists and creative minds we subscribed for 4 lots. We are in for no less than 2 lots. A phantastic result which makes us proud.
The European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) is the European standard for track safety. ERTMS is built in both the train and the rail infrastructure. The Dutch railway sector makes the step from an analogue to a digital rail network, preparing the path for smooth international trail traffic.
The intention is that ERTMS will be implemented at the busiest parts of the Dutch rail network withing ten years. The rest of the Netherlands will follow after that. It is ProRail’s largest programme ever.
